[Yogyakarta] Artotel
6:13 PM
Exactly 2 (two) months ago, I went to Yogyakarta for a quick
break. An escape to calm my chaotic mind yet I came back with an even
complicated mind (and feelings too). I intended to stay at my cousin’s flat but
later on I decided not to because of one or two things. After looking through
other blogger review, I decided to try out this hotel called Artotel.
Artotel is a hotel that integrate art into their style. Just
like art where it is never the same, every Artotel is customized and designed
individually based on its location and environment to provide different
experience on each stay. Owned by Artotel Group, they offers an amazing stay
experience with a ‘Value for Money’ concept where the basic necessity fulfilled
beyond standard.
I stayed at their Studio 23 room that cost me for IDR
1.249.113 for a 3 days 2 nights stay. The room was quite spacious, have a great
and comfortable bed, clean bathroom and they even have an amazing coffee maker
machine in each room. I mean how cool is that?
Each floor and room is painted by local artist with their
own signature artwork. My floor was at the 5th floor and it was
decorated with this cute painting on room’s walls.
I also love their 2nd floor, which where the
restaurant located and also the swimming pool. The dining area has this fun and
young vibe to it. I didn’t took any pictures of the restaurant because it was
full of people when I had my breakfast and I don’t want them to be disturbed by
me taking pictures of them.
But the breakfast served was very nice. It has
quite a lot of variations such as Indonesian food (fried rice, fried noodle, sautéed
veggies, gudeg, etc), Chinese food (dimsum, grilled chicken, etc) and Western
food (cereals, salads, pancake, egg station, etc). In conclusion, it was a good
way to start your day. The side note was, the swimming pool is really close to the outdoor dining area. I keep imagining if there were some kids swimming at I was sitting outside, I will soaked with the pool's water.
I didn’t took much pictures of this hotel because I want to
enjoy my trip more by doing less photography. Overall I really love the hotel
vibe and not to mention the great food that they offer. For a budget hotel, I
think Artotel considerably great for what they has in store.
