Finally made it to Museum MACAN to see their Yayoi Kusama exhibition that runs from 12^th of May 2018. I’ve been planning to come here ever since I heard the rumor that they are going to have an exhibition from Yayoi Kusama’s artworks back to early January.

Yayoi Kusama is one of the world’s most recognized living artists. Most all of her artwork have become a global popular culture. Life is the Heart of a Rainbow is an exhibition that focused of Kusama’s vast output. This exhibition traces her development as an artist over seven decades. Starting from 1950s in Japan, 1960s in New York and her returning to Japan in 1973 until now.

I personally really love her artworks, even though I'm not an art person myself. I somehow feel so attracted to some of the artworks without explanation. Like it just captured my eyes and heart instantly.

If you are planning to see these gorgeous artworks by yourself, do hurry! The exhibition open until 9^th of September 2018. The ticket entrance is IDR 100K for each person. I would recommend you to buy it online first through Museum MACAN’s website here. Please note that the ticket is sold per 2 hours visit time. You must come during the visit time, otherwise you can’t enter the exhibition.

Other than Yayoi Kusama's artworks, Museum MACAN also has a small exhibition by Gatot Indrajati, an installation that called Kotak Utak-Atik for their children space. The wood and cardboard installation features elements of interactivity for young visitors to the museum.
