Chinese food has become most popular food these days. It is quick, easy, delicious and fulfill our tummy needs in no time. Fook Yew has always been my favorite place to grab some chinese food. Especially the one in Gandaria City since it is very close to my house. Despite their uncomfortable seating plan, I love how they made their restaurant festive and colorful. It make us feel like we were in China.
Everytime I went to Kota Tuas, I always end up with those ordinary street food. There was no quite decent place to sit down, relax, having a cup of coffee, charging all of your gadgets (this is very important these days) and talks all day long with your friends (besides Cafe Batavia, of course). That was until I heard about this place from every social media. Curious curious, I manage to persuade my friend to eat here when we were visiting Kota Tua.
These past days, I noticed Korean food has grown so fast in Jakarta. As far as I concern most of them offer a grill/barbeque dishes in their menu. Offering a Korean shabu-shabu experience in their dinner, Shaboonine caught my attention instantly.
Shabu-shabu always identical to Japanese food. Slices of beef, a handful of vegetables and some udon (japanese thick noodle) in a steaming hot pot of beef stock soup. The Korean shabu was not very much different with that. What makes it different was the noodle and the soup selection.
I must say I'm a fan of Billiechick. Having an outlet in almost every
big mall in Jakarta, this restaurant is worth to try or simply just for
having a cup of coffee on the afternoon. They have wide selections of
menu, pretty good taste and reasonable price. Sadly I was not a fan of
their particular outlet in Pondok Indah Mall.
It's so hard to find a good mexican food here in Jakarta. I always ended up with something that has too much cheese, too much salsa, too much beans in it. and the worst mexican food I've ever taste was something with a disgusting guacamole. Ew. Thinking about it just makes me want to throw up. But then came Poblano Mexican Grill with their burritos, tacos and nachos. I have doubt in my mind but since my friends and I got their 'free lunch' message on instagram so let's fill our tummy with a burrito, I said.
My friends and I were planning to have a mini reunion. It's been a while since the last time we sit together and laugh til our stomach hurts. They asked me where is the best place to have this mini reunion at Pantai Indah Kapuk? Suddenly Bumbu Moyang came in my mind. I've tried their food before and for me it was good. They also have this great ambiance in their dining room and I super love the furniture.
Bumbu Moyang is not hard to find. They located right across Waterbom Pantai Indah Kapuk with this huge terrace and beautiful big window. The interior reminds me of my grandma's home. Old and creepy but somehow homey and makes me want to stay all day.
The always good Sushi Tei. Who doesn't fond of this restaurant? Sushi
Tei is always the first thing that came in mind when people ask about
Japanese Food, right? To me Sushi Tei always been my number choice for
Japanese Food.
They serve a good sushi, fresh sashimi, unique fusion
sushi and wide selections of japanese dishes. Maybe this is why people
always come to Sushi Tei when it comes to Japanese Food eventhough it's
kinda pricey.
